Hello loved ones!

We are thrilled to celebrate our marriage with you, each of whom has uniquely shaped the course of our relationship over the past eight years.

Keep an eye on your mailboxes for a formal invitation to follow the save the date you recently received, and continue to check back here, where we’ll be adding more details as arrangements for the day are finalized!

Read on for everything you need to know about our bash on Saturday, May 18, 2019.

Venue

The celebration will take place at Morandi, an Italian trattoria in Manhattan’s West Village. Festivities will kick off around 6:30 pm with a cocktail hour and lite bites, followed by a four-course family-style Italian feast, with plenty of options for meat and non-meat eaters alike. Dinner will be followed by dancing until they throw us out (or politely ask us to leave, likely sometime between midnight and 1 am).

The restaurant is nearest the 14th Street station on the 1, 2, and 3 subway lines, and a short walk from the West 4th Street station on the B, D, F, M, A, C, and E subway lines.

Most of you know we are almost always “the more the merrier” people, but because there is a fixed number of seats in the dining room, we could not accommodate guests for some. That said, if you did not receive a save the date inviting you and a guest, and you are hoping to bring one, please let us know and we will do our best to fit him or her in as RSVPs come in.

Ceremony

We will be saying “I do” in the quarry on the grounds of Duncan’s family’s home in Westchester, where his parents wed some 35 years ago. We would love for all of you to watch, but due to logistics and other factors, we’ve opted for an intimate ceremony with immediate family only, after which we will head to Morandi to begin the bigger celebration with everyone.

Lodging

For those coming in from out of town, we’ve set room blocks at two nearby hotels, which are both within walking distance of the restaurant.

The Washington Square Hotel at 103 Waverly Place is holding 10 rooms for the nights of May 17 and 18. They can be reserved by calling (212) 777–9515 and asking for the Rotunno-Goodwin wedding (group code: 5670), or you can book one of them online here. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the restaurant.

The Manhattan Soho Courtyard Marriott at 181 Varick Street is holding 15 rooms for the nights of May 17 and 18. They can be reserved by calling (800) 321–2211 and asking for the Goodwin-Rotunno wedding, or you can book one of them online here. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the restaurant.

Attire

Dress is black-tie optional, meaning dark suits for guys (or tuxes, if you’ve got one and want to break it out), and cocktail or longer dresses for gals.

Dress spiffy, comfortably, but not stuffy. Men, if you’ve got a suit and no tie, that’s fine, but leave the blue sport coats, khakis, and jeans in the closet.

Registry

As most of you know, we’ve managed to accumulate a heck of a lot of stuff in our years together! That said, we’ve put together a small registry of porcelain china and a couple other household items we love that is shoppable here. And our favorite home store, John Derian, has a small registry of more porcelain items that can be purchased in store or by calling (212) 677–3917. We will also graciously accept any monetary gifts, which we intend to put towards the honeymoon we hope to take in Asia that Duncan is hard at work planning.
